Virtual – Queering Relationships: A Guided Watercolor Event
August 30, 2022 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm
Queer Relationships have historically not had the best representation in the media. It is even harder to encounter ones that also center Black, Indigenous, or People of Color experiences. This can make it challenging to navigate our own relationships if we don’t have much to reference. Queer and transgender BIPOC folx deserve healthy relationships based on trust, respect, communication, and all the other good stuff that makes you feel like you are floating on air and thriving.
Join us on Tuesday, August 30th from 6:30 to 8 PM as we talk about queer relationships while working on a guided painting that you can frame on your wall or gift to a special loved one! No experience is necessary. Arrive solo, or bring a friend or a group of them and make a night of it!
This session will be facilitated by allgo Program Coordinator Bryan Garcia. Bryan has been at allgo for almost 3 years and comes in with over 10 years of experience in facilitating conversations on health relationships having worked within the domestic violence field, as well as an appreciation for the healing power of creative engagement AKA art.
If you are interested in joining us, please fill out the following form to register. Watercoloring kits are provided and can be picked up at the allgo offices. Please give us a call at 512-472-2001 before stopping by or schedule a time by emailing us at email@example.com.
