Queer Visioning for the New Year
January 24, 2023 @ 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm
FreeHappy New Year! New Year, New You? How about New Year, Meaningful You!
If your year is off to a great start and you want to make sure it keeps moving in that direction or if you feel lost and kind of stuck, this could be the right event for you!
Join allgo on Tuesday, January 24th from 6:30 to 8:30pm, to gather as we support one another in setting intentions for the benefit of our well-being. Prioritizing our wellness as queer and transgender people of color is so important due to the often limited access to wellness resources and support we might have as a result of systemic designs. allgo wants to see you not only survive, but thrive this year. Whether you want to focus on an intention that will improve or help you maintain your emotional/mental well-being, your sense of purpose/meaning, social connections, rest/sleep, physical well-being, sexual health and wellness, you deserve to have a sense of control and be able to do things that will have a positive impact in your life.
Let’s take a moment to reflect a little on last year, talk about meeting ourselves where we are at in this moment and what our needs are, and then get excited about what this new year might bring. What if it all goes right? We will also have an opportunity to journal/list intentions that you want to manifest in your life or some guiding principle that you want to live by and/or create a vision board with a combination of images and/or words to help you visualize the wonderful things that could happen and for you to draw inspiration from.
We will provide all the snacks, beverages and materials, but you are welcome to bring things you would like to use as well!
Please register beforehand to secure your spot as spaces are limited: https://bit.ly/visioning23
This event will be indoors, wheelchair accessible and masks will be required (and provided) when not eating (you are always welcome to step outside if you need a break to unmask).
If you require transportation assistance, please email us at wellness@allgo.org to see if there is a way that we can provide support to help you get to and from the event.
