August 14 @ 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm
We’ve been told time and time again from society there is only one way to learn and one perspective worth learning. For so long, books and narratives have tried to erase the history and impact of QPOC communities across the world. These are gaps society has made for us, and it constantly gets in the way of better understanding our learning, health, and well being.
Join us for a discussion on how we as individuals and communities can live as lifelong learners about ourselves, histories, and more! Lifelong learning is not limited to school and work – it is meant for all individuals who simply want to explore and better understand things we may have not known before.
From fun hobbies to our own needs and interests, there is something new we can learn about life each day. By asking questions and exploring topics meaningful to us as queer people of color, we can build power and take steps to pursue what sets our souls on fire!
Feel free to bring any resources you may want to share.
Join us on August 14th at 6:30 PM for a discussion on lifelong learning as QPOC!
Event is wheelchair accessible. Light snacks and refreshments will be provided. Visitors are always welcome to bring food or drinks to share, but it is not at all required to attend. This event is one of many this year around promoting the well being and vitality of QPOC communities in Austin, TX.
