Let’s Talk: A Step Back to Move Forward
January 10 @ 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM
We invite our queer people of color communities to join us for our first gathering of the new year.
The New Year is here and with it we would like to hold space for us to pause and re-assess what we want to manifest in this year. By first, starting exactly where we are, just as who we are then setting affirmations, we will allow ourselves to shift in a the direction we want and need.
We will set an intentional non-judgmental space to promote an externally and internally kind and gentle exchange of dialogue with ourselves and each other.
We will have some very raw discussions about what our current narratives are and their purpose in our personal growth. Through exploring our truths in this workshop, we will be learning additional tools to navigate our new beginnings with integrity and compassion.
La’arni Ayuma of Ayuma Healing Arts is a practitioner of Hilot, a Filipino ancient healing art, a licensed Massage Therapist and a certified Family Massage Instructor. She incorporates movement, meditation, intuitive counseling and other modalities in her practice. Her classes and mentoring programs encourage a compassionate radical healing that is self-sustaining. Her goal is to facilitate the shift needed to bring about harmony within the self and achieve the desired intention.
She is a mother to three of the most precious teachers in her lifetime, a 2 year old explorer, a 6 year old creative force, and a 19 year old artist/professional musician.
Light refreshments will be provided; feel free to bring something to share, though bringing something is not required.
Join us on Wednesday, January 10th, at 6PM for this community discussion about our personal narritives and the new year.
This event is one of many this year around promoting the well being and vitality of QPOC communities in Austin, TX. For more information about this and other events, or to sign up for our mailing list, send a message to firstname.lastname@example.org
