From Song to Object…and You: Sacred Performance as Pedagogy of Reconciliation

This year’s Visiting Performing Artist.

The African and African Diaspora Studies Department (AADS) in conjunction with allgo (Texas’ statewide queer of color organization) are co-hosting two residency events to celebrate Xxaalahh’s work. Both events will be held at allgo and are open to the public.

“From Song to Object…and You: Sacred Performance as Pedagogy of Reconciliation”

This performance event brings together all the elements of the public workshop towards an education of feeling. The show will guest-feature local Austin artists Gbeda (Sound Healer) and Kelenne (Poet).
