Cultivating Healthy Boundaries in QPOC Love

March 1 @ 6:15 PM - 8:00 PM

We invite our queer people of color communities to join us.

We know that queer people of color are full of love and light! However, that doesn’t mean that loving is always easy or that the relationships we have with our lovers don’t hurt us.

The stigma that we face as QPOC can often compound in our relationships when it comes to asking for what we need, setting the necessary boundaries for our comfort and safety, and unlearning the normalization of violence towards our qpoc bodies and persons.

Surabhi Kukke (she/her) is a Senior Health Programs Advisor at Futures Without Violence. She is a passionate advocate of reducing abuse and violence in queer relationships, and she will be facilitating this communitydiscussion.

Join us at allgo on March 1st at 6:15pm to be a part of our conversation on how to cultivate healthy boundaries in QPOC relationships. We’ll be talking about recognizing abusive behaviors, the subtlety of control and manipulations, the influence of internalized self-hatred, and what we can do encourage better dialogue in our community about healthy relationships.

Please share this event with any Austin QPOC who may be interested!
