Austin, TX – The ALLGO board and staff are both excited and saddened to share with you upcoming significant organizational changes. In response to the current political and economic climate as well as financial realities, and in an effort to better fulfill our vision and mission, ALLGO is rising to face new challenges head on and refocusing our programming.

These efforts will seek to create and sustain a statewide network of queer people of color activists, groups, organizations and allies, which through nourishment of relationships, grassroots organizing and artistic expression can mobilize and revitalize the movement to radically transform systems and policies toward a collective liberation.

As hopeful and thrilled as we are about the new possibilities these changes will bring, additional financial forces and shifts in federal policies and local HIV Planning Council priorities will require us to let go of some of our existing programming. It is with a heavy heart that we begin the extremely difficult process of saying good-bye to our case-management program. ALLGO will no longer be providing case-management services after February 28, 2006. Case-managers will be working closely with current clients to transition their care and make sure they are successfully connected to all the support and resources available as they navigate this difficult time.

Change frequently brings joy and pain side by side. We urge you to be a part of this time of new possibilities and letting go as you walk with us to create a just and equitable society and make all of our liberation a reality. To this end, ALLGO will be continuing and growing our cultural arts and community building and organizing programs. As these changes unfold we will be sending out periodic updates to keep you abreast of the latest developments. We invite you to become a part of ALLGO by becoming a member, a volunteer, a monthly donor and/or an event/program participant. Please utilize the above contact information to sign up for any of these opportunities and receive electronic and manual mail updates.
