Bruising for Besos is a two-act solo play exploring domestic violence
in queer and non-queer relationships. Yoli Villamontes, a 20-something
Xicana, recreates distant and not-so-distant memoria to explore the
effects of physical and emotional violence. Her fraught journey is
tempered with doses of good humor and reflection.
A Q&A will take place after the reading. Refreshments will be
provided. Don’t miss the chance to be with Adelina in an intimate
community setting at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 5, 2007 at ALLGO
