allgo will be hosting its 26th annual pride dance at the Historic Victory Grill. The event will kick off at 10:00 pm and feature Ghetto World House music and hip-hop. The event is open to the entire community, with all attendees asked to make a donation of at least $5. Revenue generated from the dance will be used to help support allgo’s general programming. The purpose of the community space is to create an environment where community members can gather for meetings, events, skill sharing, workshops, and healing.
Every year allgo hosts its own pride dance to honor the anniversary of the 1969 Stonewall riots which caused the emergence of the modern LGBT rights movement. Many courageous youth and queer people of color fought for respect and dignity at Stonewall. allgo honors those who fought for justice at Stonewall by continuing to fight for the spiritual, bodily, and sexual liberation of all people.
