Come spend an intimate evening with allgo and Out Youth as we gather together to hear of the Experimental Archive Project known as MobileHomecoming. Two young queer black women, Julia Wallace andAlexis Pauline Gumbs, have been traveling the country, gathering stories of queer black same gender loving elders, piecing together an intergenerational connection between us. There will be a mini-screening of their project followed by a discussion. We’re doing this potluck style, so everyone is welcome to bring a dish. Mark the date on your calendar. Sharon Bridgforth’s “the bull-jean stories” serves as the foundation/inspiration upon which this multi-disciplinary performance artwork is being created. By weaving filmed stories and documentary interviews with live performance and visual art, Q-Roc will create an environment for the audience to co-exist with the artist as they are immersed in the world of rural, working class bull-daggas, together witnessing stories that speak to generations of bull-jeans.
