Be part of allgo’s Fab20!
allgo has a wonderful opportunity for you to jump in and play a major role in supporting this amazing journey of liberation and social justice. In 2008, allgo launched the Fab20 FUNdraising initiative: 20 people sign on and commit to raise or give $1,000 resulting in $20,000 for this necessary and life sustaining work!
This has been quite the year of inspiring steps forward and heartbreaking setbacks in the work. We can truly say that our movements to create a world in which we can all thrive are making a huge impact. And yet there is still so much work to be done.
That’s where you and allgo come in! This hardworking organization keeps bringing us together to create and celebrate our cultures and art, to build community and networks, and to equip and position us to organize powerfully and effectively to bring about true change.
Ultimately we are allgo and allgo is us! We continue to hear amazing stories of the difference allgo has made in community
member’s lives year after year, and every time we do, it reminds us why we do this work. And why allgo is so necessary as a
pivotal force bringing about the dream of social justice for all people.
We are excited to put the call out for this year’s Fab20 - 20 people to raise and/or give $1,000 each for allgo. Is this you? Are you ready to be one of the Fab20?!
Raising $1,000 is easier than you might think. It creates a wonderful opportunity for you to talk to your friends and loved ones about something that is important to you and really matters. After you tell people how much allgo means to you and why you are so excited about this work, there are hundreds to ways to raise the money. For example:
- Use facebook to ask 100 of your friends to give you $10
- Set up a fundrasing page on facebook
- ask 50 friends to give you $20
- e-mail 10 of your friends and ask them to donate $100
- e-mail 100 of your friends and ask them to donate $10
- Host a get together at your home in honor of allgo and ask for donations.
- Buy a $100 item and “sell” 200 raffle tickets for $5 each.
